Riding Club Aims
We adopt a very simple approach to running the riding club, horses
are our hobby and therefore one of our priorities is to have fun whatever
we do!
We aim to have an event
every month, and try to respond to member's feedback on the activities
they would like to participate in. Over the past year we have arranged
a wide variety of events from educational (Nutrition Lecture, Polo
Introduction, Show-jumping & cross country lessons) to competitive
(Dressage & Riding Tests) and not forgetting social (Picnic Ride,
Boxing Day Pub Ride). Any profit that is made from club events is
invested in better facilities for all (i.e. round-pen & new surface,
jumps) apart from our Charity Days, when all proceeds go to a nominated
equine charity.
We try to hold as diverse
a range of activities as possible, we have had a Horse-Ball taster
day, Improve your Riding through Hypnotherapy, Parelli workshops,
Road Safety lessons and exams, Dentistry, Saddlery, as well as practical
demonstrations on in-hand & ridden showing.
To help us provide the
events that you would like to participate in, please take the time
to give us your feedback, either in person or through completion of
the following:-
1. What activities or riding
club activities would you like PWRC to run:-
2. Are there any visits
that you would like us to arrange e.g. Metropolitan Mounted Police
Stables, Olympia etc
3. What educational events
would you like to attend e.g. First Aid lecture, Emergency Farriery,
Join-Up
4. Are there any particular
equine disciplines you want to learn more about e.g. carriage-driving,
quadrille
5. Are there any social
events you would like to attend
6. Any other ideas/comments
7. If you have any equine
contacts that you think would make a suitable speaker/instructor/demonstrator,
please let us know.
