NEWS FROM THE COMMITTEE

London Emissions Zone
There is NO exemption for horse boxes and Pinnerwood is definitely within the Low Emission Zone (you can check whether addresses are within the zone by entering a post-code).

Cameras will be used to monitor compliance, with a £200 daily charge or a £1000 fine if non-compliant. Looks like most horse boxes will be covered as it affects diesel vehicles over 3.5 tonnes that are registered prior to 1 October 2001. The standard will be raised again in January 2012, when only lorries registered as new after 1 October 2006 will meet the emissions standard.

First Aid kit now available in Club House there is also one in the office. Equine First Aiders are Pippa (Dawn) and Joules (Lucy). If Michael is present he is also a person qualified to treat injuries!

Check the London Riding Clubs (Area 9) website for Area 9 events.
